JUST START!

The idea for this blog has been bouncing around in my head for nearly twenty years. Yep! You heard that right! TWENTY YEARS!! Crazy, huh? I bet you’d never put a dream off that long. Let’s not dwell too much on that, I will talk later about all the reasons I kept putting it off. Right now I want to be brave. I have written and re-written and erased again various versions of my thoughts for this post. Did I mention I am a recovering perfectionist (is that a thing)? My goodness! How those tendencies never seem to escape me. How I wish they would! Nevertheless, I just keep hearing that little voice in my head repeating the words: JUST START. So, here I am…starting.

This blog is a place for me to have a voice, an outlet for my ideas and inspiration. The chance to build something of which I can be proud. To connect with people who might be like me. Or not. I’m creating a cozy corner to share thoughts about my faith, good books, homeschool ideas, and some of the ways I am creating a simple life. If you have similar interests, come join the conversation! I’d love to have you along! My mother always told me that I can learn something from every single person that I meet. She was right, as usual. Plus, it’s always better with friends!

I want you to know up-front that I have a deep and abiding faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I will talk about Him often. He is at the center, the very core of everything I do. Above all else, I want to be known as a disciple of Christ. I am trying every single day, just like you. We’ll be amazing friends! I just want this blog and the words I write here to always bring honor to my Savior, Jesus Christ and to share the hope and peace He pours down upon me daily. He is my light, my hope, my redeemer, my friend. I hope you and I become the best of friends too!
